[Class 41.] Apparatus for chromium plating comprises an annular vat a, a rotating circular work support k, and anodes spaced around the cell at intervals which are a multiple of their breadth. The anodes passed by the work in the earlier part of its travel are connected to a higher potential than the later ones. A zone without anodes is provided for loading and unloading. The cell is surrounded by a heating bath b and is connected with the space s above it by apertures f ; the space s is connected by a pipe to a suction fan. The cell is surmounted by cover-plates m extending nearly to the work support k ; the anodes are inserted through slots in the cover-plates and are connected to contact bars w.
