359,179. Electric heaters. BEAUMONT, T. E. and WARING, J. N., 22, Grangecliffe Gardens, South Norwood, London. Oct. 4, 1930, Nos. 29729 and 36649. [Class 39 (iii).] An electric heating-device consists of a slotted core 11, a primary winding 16, a helical secondary winding 23 and a tubular outer casing 20 connected to the ends of the winding 23 so that the current passes longitudinally along it. The core 10 may be formed with magnetic end discs 12, 13 insulated by mica 21, 22 from the casing 20, which may form a magnetic return circuit, or the casing 20 may be of non-magnetic metal. The casing 20 may be partly heated by eddy currents, or may be slotted to check such currents. Specification 335,337, [Class 39 (iii), Heating by electricity], is referred to.
