Abstract

359,156. Bottle &c. stoppers. PARKES, T: H., 17, Stream Park, King- swinford, near Dudley. Sept. 22, 1930, No. 28320. [Classes 18, 125 (i), and 125 (iii).] A closure cap for salt pourers, bottles, &c., is composed of a band of resilient material 1, embedded at its upper end 2 into a mounted body 4 and shaped at its lower end, for example, by resilient fingers 6, to embrace the neck 3 of the container. The body 4 may be moulded by heat and pressure from a phenol formaldehyde product, and may contain a moulded orifice 5 or a number of smaller apertures. The body of the closure may be covered by sheet metal spun over it after moulding.
