Abstract
358,132. Valve amplifying circuits. HAZELTINE CORPORATION, 15, Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Wheeler, H. A. ; 78, 22nd Street, Jackson Heights, New York, U.S.A.) July 8, 1930, No. 20664. Convention date, Aug. 17, 1929. [Class 40 (v).] In a thermionic amplifier operating without a grid-biasing battery a pair of valves are connected oppositely in parallel to the input and impedances are arranged in series with the grids. Fig. 1 shows resistances R1, R2 in serieswith the grids of valves V1, V2 which are thus alternately active and have their outputs combined in transformer T2. Fig. 2 shows a similar arrangement with a common heating source in which windings Sl, S3 and condensers C are provided to allow a common plate battery to be used without short-circuiting the input to the amplifier.
