[Class 66.] A sliver can is fitted with a mouthring consisting of an inverted U-section collar of resilient metal having the bend 10 enlarged in relation to the distance between the folds 6, 7, which are of unequal length and formed with inwardly beaded or rolled edges 8, 9. The lower end of the can may be fitted with a similar ring formed integral with a metal bottom, the roll or bead 9 being then replaced by a swaging. Specification 252,932, [Class 66, Hollow-ware], is referred to.
