Abstract

356,013. Toothbrushes. PRIEST, H. R., Loudonville, Ashland, Ohio, U.S.A. Oct. 21, 1930, No. 31545. [Class 19.] A toothbrush is provided with a reversible cap 13 adapted to form a grip, as in Fig. 2, or a housing, as in Fig. 3. The cap is threaded internally to engage corresponding sets of threads on the shank 10. Dental floss 25 is housed in the shank and is passed through a metal cap 24. A spur 27 struck from the metal cap forms a cutter. The cap 13 is provided with a mirror 29 and, preferably, has an additional cap 30 with a second mirror 32. The cap 30 may be held in the mouth to reflect the backs of the teeth which can be seen in the mirror 29. The dental floss is kept from contamination by a cap 33. The toothbrush comprises a shank 10 shaped as shown with a bristle tuft set at rightangles thereto. Specification 352,349 is referred to.
