Abstract

355,953. Two-part couplings. BERLINER PHYSIKALISCHE WERKSTATTEN GES., 3, Genthinerstrasse, Berlin. Sept. 1, 1930, No. 26027. Convention date, May 7. [Class 38 (i).] A coupling for multiple connection has a series of contacts 1 mounted on concentric insulating rings 3 that form a cylindrical or conical, plug body. Spacing rings 6 separate the rings 3, and both sets of rings have apertures 3 for the passage of leads 4 and are threaded upon a tube 7 and secured by nuts 13, 14 thereon. Spring contacts 9 mounted in a casing 10 coact with the contacts 1, the plug being forced into place by a hand-wheel 17 with a screw collar 15 engaging a neck 16 on the plug, a pin 8 with a groove 8<1> guiding the plug and preventing rotation. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the alternative use of spring contacts on the plug and ring contacts on the casing, and the use of a prismatic or pyramidal plug body. The drawing also showed a narrower orifice in the collar 15. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
