Abstract

355,586. Theft alarms. FISCHER, G., 21, Gorlitzer Strasse, and MULLER, E., 20A, Wittenberger Strasse, both in Leipsic, Germany. Oct. 31, 1930, No. 32819. Convention date, Aug. 26. [Class 118 (i).] In addition to the main ignition switch h for the engine of a road vehicle, motor boat, or aircraft, an auxiliary switch a is provided which contains the condenser d of the ignition system c and a contact arm f adapted to connect or disconnect the condenser and the switch housing, the circuits being such that when the switch arm f moves from the condenser contact to the contact of lead o the ignition system c is rendered inoperative and an alarm horn g is continuously sounded owing to the action of the relay i when the main switch h is closed. The relay i is preferably located in the housing of the switch a. In a modification, Fig. 2, the key-operated switch b inserted in the main lead r from the main switch h is adapted alternatively to close the main circuit and to connect the battery w by way of the main switch to an alarm device g. An auxiliary switch z with a relay is inserted in the lead t from the switch b to the alarm device for the purpose of causing continuous operation of the alarm on receipt of a current impulse from the switch b. The armature of the relay in the auxiliary switch projects into the path of a key a adapted to be placed therein, so that insertion of the kev causes the alarm device to receive current. The same key a operates both switches b, z.
