355,535. Vacuum switches. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.- (Allgemeine Elektricitõts-Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin.) Sept. 8, 1930, No. 26799. Convention date, Sept. 9,1929. [Class 38 (v).] In a high - tension vacuum switch the current leading-in members 1, 2 which enter the evacuated container are at the outside fixedly connected with one another by means of a frame consisting of endplates 7 and rods 9, 10, one at least of the current leading-in members being connected through an elastic bellows member 4 with a contact 5 to be moved by a light rod 4 from the outside. In the arrangement shown, the upper leading-in conductor 13 which carries the fixed contact 15 and the lower leading-in conductor are connected with the container through flexible bellows devices to save damage from shock. A stranded flexible connection 17 may be provided inside the tubular lead-in conductor 2 to afford an additional connection between the contact 5 and the connector 19. The upper leading-in conductor 1 is adjustably mounted in the frame.
