[Class 12 (i).] A split-bearing bush k having a conical periphery and accommodated in the conical bore h of a housing has a longitudinal taper slot a in which a fillet or wedge l is fitted. The outer face of the bush k has flutes e and upon the ends are screwed nuts m, n, the inner edges of which bear upon the side faces of the housing and upon the ends of the wedge l. To adjust the bush k for wear it is moved axially by operating the nuts m, n, the wedge however remaining stationary during adjustment. The taper of the wedge l and that of the periphery of the bush k are so related that the wedge l always exactly fits the wedge-shaped slot a.
