Abstract
354,156. Washing-boilers. KRAUSS, F. E., 3, Wildenauer Weg, Schwarzenberg, Germany. Jan. 29, 1931, No. 2939. Convention date, Feb. 15, 1930. [Class 64 (i).] In order that articles may be boiled and washed in the same receptacle, such receptacle is provided both with water spouting tubes and internal lifters. The tubes may be formed by the tapering hollow lifters c, Fig. 1, themselves which are provided with open tops c<1>, or separate tubes e, Fig. 3, and lifters d or d<1> may be provided ; the tubes and lifters are carried by a removable false bottom b. During boiling the receptacle is preferably stationary, the water rising in the tubes c, e and overflowing at the top on to the clothes &c., and during washing, when the lifters function, the receptacle is oscillated on its shaft a<1>.
