353,676. Mine props. BEECH, W. A., Brereton Hall Cottage, and STALEY, J. J., Brereton Hall, both in Brereton, near Rugeley, Staffordshire. July 15, 1930, No. 21357. [Class 20 (ii).] A collapsable pit prop of the type in which an upper member rests on loose packing material in a lower member provided with a valve to release the packing material to allow collapse of the prop, has the outer ends of the members provided with wooden plugs b, c which normally extend beyond the ends of the members and the inner end of the upper member provided with a wooden plug d to rest on the packing material. The valve for controlling release of packing material comprises an apertured rotatable sleeve k.
