[Class 38 (v).] In metal-clad switchgear for multi-phase extra high tension systems the circuit-breaker units for the several feeders are arranged with respect to one another that the bus-bar connections to the circuitbreakers of each phase may be made by short conductors surrounded by single-length condenser insulators. As shown in the Figure, three singlephase circuit-breakers A<1>, A<2>, A3 for the first threephase feeder, B<1>, B<2>, B<3> for a second similar feeder, and C<1>, C<2>, C<3> for a third feeder, the circuit-breakers in each phase (for example, the circuit-breakers A<1>, B<1>, C<1>) are arranged in line side-by-side and the bus-bar in each phase is constituted by a series of short conductors E<1>, which are supported by single-length condenser insulators F<1>, in oil-filled tubes G<1>. The series of short conductors constitute the bus-bar for the corresponding phase.
