Abstract

[Class 69 (i).] In a log or current meter comprising a Pitot tube a, Fig. 1, a differential pressure gauge, and a pump c for equalizing the pressures and indicating the flow &c., the gauge co-operates with contacts for operating an auxiliary motor g in one direction or the other, to vary the regulating member or resistance of the motor e which drives the pump c. When the diaphragm gauge is employed, the contacts i, Fig. 2, are resiliently mounted, and perforated discs limit the motion of the diaphragm. In another form comprising a mercury-filled gauge, adjustable contacts p, Fig. 3, are disposed in the central axis of the inner tube m, and ball valves s cut off communication if the pressure difference becomes excessive.
