352,561. Louvre ventilators ; windows. STONE & CO., Ltd., J., Deptford, London.-(Powell, F. ; c/o Jardine Engineering Corporation; Tientsin, China.) April 16, 1930, No. 12045. [Classes 20 (iii) and 137.] A louvre ventilator more particularly for use in connection with windows or ventilating openings for railway carriages comprises brass plates a secured by screws d to the inside of each stile b of a sliding sash and formed with a number of inclined slots e for receiving the ends of horizontal slats f which project through the slots into vertical grooves g formed in the stiles b. The upper and lower horizontal rails i, h of the sash frame have their lower and upper edges respectively cut away as at l so as to incline in the same direction as the slats. A louvre ventilator constructed in this manner may form a lower sash of a window, co-operating with an upper glazed sash, both sashes being provided with fasteners which may be of the kind described in Specification 352,562, [Group XXV].
