Convention date, Dec. 24,1929. Addition to 257,892, [Class 56, Glass]. [Class 56.] Rolling.-A watercooled roller, of the kind described in the parent Specification, comprises an outer cylinder 32, Fig. 1, having relatively thin walls, which rests on longitudinal ribs 291, Fig. 6, extending over the whole of the outer surface of a rigid hollow cylindrical core 29. Water enters the interior of the core through hollow trunnions 30 and passes through apertures 33 at the middle of the core into channels 34 between the ribs 29<1>, and escapes through pipes 40 at the ends of the rollers. The outer cvlinder 32 is composed of a number of sections or rings 321, of steel or any suitable metal, which are joined or welded together by any suitable method.
