369,163. Rolling-mandrels. MANNESMANNROHREN-WERKE, 17, Berger Ufer, Dusseldorf, Germany. Nov. 2, 1931, No. 30365. Convention date, Feb. 14. [Class 83 (iv).] A mandrel for pilger rolling is provided at both ends with a mounting element, one of which fits in the mandrel holder. The mandrel is reversed end to end after each rolling operation, the stresses set up in it during the rolling thus being reversed, and the wear reduced. The mandrel a has at each end elements b, c, either of which can be engaged with the other element d of the connecting joint carried by the mandrel holder.
