410,734. Tubes &c. HATSCHEK, H., and CZERWENKA, H., (trading as ETERNITWERKE L. HATSCHEK), Aug. 18, 1932, No. 23192. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 20, 1932]. [Class 99 (ii).] In the manufacture of tubes and like hollow bodies of constant or variable thickness from sheets of a mixture of fibrous materials and hydraulic binding agents, the tube is first roughly shaped by winding one or more layers 1 of the material onto a mandril 4, and then the tube and mandril are disposed in a multipartite steel mould 3, Fig. 5, or the tube alone between a mould and a core, and an axial pressure applied to the tube by means of dies &c. 5 to complete the shaping and also remove the water therefrom. Figs. 4 and 6 show the invention applied to a socket tube formed of two layers of material 1, 1<a>.
