[Class 55 (i). ] A coke oven door, when placed in position on its frame, has its downward movement guided by V- shaped members serving as its support, so that the door is always applied in the same position on the frame. In one form, Figs. 2 and 4, the frame 3 carries hooks 5 of V-shaped section, and plain hooks 7, which co-operate with grooved and plane rollers 6, 8 respectively at each end of cross members 9 supporting the door 1, screws 11 bearing against the door and permitting the latter to be tightened on its frame 3. In Figs. 8 and 9 grooved rollers 6 are engaged by a V-shaped hook 12 and wedge 13. Fig. 14 shows angle-irons 16 having slots 18 into which fit tapered ends 17 of bars 15.
