[Class 123 (ii).] A boiler water tube is surrounded by a coil of spirally wound small gauge wire in contact with the surface of the tube and having the turns of the spiral spaced apart. The spiral has a pitch about equal to the diameter of the tube. Specifications 23993/92 and 8594/00, [both in Class 123, Steam generators], are referred to.
