Abstract

<PICT:0349732/III/1> An abrading tool is formed from an abrading composition comprising diamond particles distributed through a sintered composition of tungsten carbide and cobalt. This composition is placed in holes 4 in a carbon block 3 and molybdenum rods 14 inserted to which is applied a high pressure from the block 2, the whole being heated meanwhile by an electric current to the sintering temperature of the mixture.
