Convention date, July 19, 1929. Drawings to Specification. [Class 97 (i).] A photographic objective is provided with a negative lens or group of lenses placed at a substantial distance in front of the objective to give a wider angle of view and improved definition. The focal length of the negative lens is numerically greater than that of the positive. The arrangement is particularly applicable to natural colour photography or kinematography by the goffered film process, a collimating lens being in this case mounted adjacent the film. In an example given in the Specification the focal length of the negative lens is four times that of the positive objective and the distance between the lenses is twice the focal length of the objective.
