520,490. Photographic view-finders. LEITZ GES., E. Oct. 24, 1938, No. 30656. Convention date, Dec. 4, 1937. [Class 98 (i)] In a view-finder having a mask adjustable in size in a plane where a real image is produced to limit the image field to the field of the camera objective, the mask comprises two relatively movable members each having two divergent arms forming the boundary of the image area and also permitting the marginal portions outside the actual picture area defined to be seen. As shown the members comprise plates 5, 6 having pins 7, 8 engaging inclined guides 9, 10. Opaque bars 11, 12, 13, 14 constitute the boundary arms. Alternatively the bars 11, 12 and 13, 14 may be of transparent material with coloured or opaque edges.
