348,005. Mounting electric lamps in shades. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. Oct. 16, 1930, No. 31001. Convention date, Nov. 30, 1929. [Class 75 (iv).] A shade holder 1 is suspended by means of a chain 3, a lamp holder 5 is secured to a body which is slidable axially in one or more links of the chain, and one or more devices are provided for securing the body in any desired adjusted position. The slidable body may comprise a tube 6 which is traversed by the conductors 4 and secured in position by means of a set-screw 7, Fig. 1, or a spring-urged stud 8, Fig. 2, engageable in apertures 9 in the tube. The securing device may be carried by one of the links or by a lengthening piece intermediate the shade holder and the first link.
