Abstract

347,967. Frictional pocket igniters. GLOOR, E. and GLOOR, P., Gai Cottage, Pully-Paudex, Waadt, Switzer - land. July 9, 1930, No. 20823. [Class 75 (iii).] The friction-wheel 11 is rotated by the tooth 14 of a pawl 8, pivoted at 9 on the spring-opened hinged lid 3, engaging between hook-shaped teeth 13 of a driving wheel 10 rigidly connected to the frictionwheel, the wheel 10 and pawl being locked together at the end of the movement thereby preventing the lid from opening beyond a predetermined maximum extent. On closing the lid, the pawl 8 is retracted and then raised by a spring 16 so that the tooth 14 engages between the next pair of teeth on the wheel 10. The spring catch 19 for the cover is provided with a locking screw 20.
