[Class 23.] Mixing - apparatus.-A multi-stage apparatus for mixing, emulsifying and the like, of the type described in the parent Specification has stationary guide walls 2, 3 slotted for the passage of the material which enters the inlet tube 1. Channels 5, 6 in the guide walls communicate with the falciform or annular space 7 in the cover 9 ; gases, to dissolve in the material or to react therewith, are passed into the chamber 7 and the channels 5, 6, from which they pass into the material by small openings 8. Where a gas is not easily soluble in the material only the guide wall 3 has gas channels.
