Abstract

347,905. Bathing-dresses. STANLEY, A. H., 88, Chancery Lane, London.-(Bergh, P. ; 105, East 19th Street, Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.) May 19, 1930, No. 15332. [Class 77.] A swimming costume comprises an unseamed tubular part 10 and an upper part 25 of smaller diameter with a single back seam 20. The costumes are cut from tubular knit material, Fig. 1, which is folded flat and cut to the required shape. The upper part is shaped by cutting away a portion of the tube from the centre of the back as indicated by the slotted line in Fig. 1 and closing the gap with a seam 20 which may be extended below the stitching 24 where the trunk portion is joined to the shirt.
