347,864. Window guards and shutters. RAXWORTHY, R. E. and POTTER RAX GATE CO., Ltd., Wilton Works, Shepperton Road, Islington, London. April 16, 1930, No. 12052. [Class 20 (iii).] In a collapsable window guard or shutter as described in Specification 124,107, [Class 45, Fencing &c.], wherein hinged sheet-metal shutters A, Fig. 1, are secured to the pickets C at each alternate hinge B, offsets F are formed at the edges of the sheets at every hinge, the offsets of one sheet overlapping those of the adjacent sheet, as at J, Fig. 6, so that they engage as the shutters are opened and prevent the shutters from opening fully flat. This arrangement obviates the necessity for the lazytongs or lattice-work D which may be omitted.
