Abstract

347,409. Vehicle wheels. TRIGGS, W. W., 57, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London.- (Huebsch Manufacturing Co. ; 61, Center Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S.A.) March 14, 1930, No. 8322. [Class 144 (i).] In a conveyer trolley or runner of the kind in which an upper wheel 17 and lower keeper wheel 18 are mounted in a frame 5, each wheel is formed of two independently rotatable halves arranged on a single axle 10 and provided with inclined surfaces 24, 25 engaging the rail 26, the two axles being supported between the main or back portion 6 of the frame and bent-up arms 9 formed integrally therewith. Ball bearings 20 are disposed between the halves of the wheels and bushings 14 surrounding the axles 10, while additional balls 23 are carried in an apertured ring 21 mounted between the two half-wheels. The inclined surfaces 24, 25 may either be conical, as shown, or they may be concaved so as together to form a curved groove.
