Abstract

347,405. Lever-lid tins &c. ROBINSON & CO., F. and ROBINSON, G. A., Southcoates Lane, Hull. March 12, 1930, No. 8003. [Classes 21, 66, and 125 (iii).; Tins, iron kegs, or like metal containers are provided with lever-lids 2 retained in place by metal strips 1 which serve, also as handles, the ends of the strips being bent around the flanges of the lid and the mouth of the tin and carried downwardly across the shoulder portion below the neck, the extremities being either left straight, as in Fig. 1, or rolled or beaded to facilitate removal by a lever, as in Fig. 3, and the strip may be placed loosely across the lid as in the latter figure, or may be welded or otherwise secured thereto and provided with an arched central portion as in Fig. 1.
