Abstract

The inflammability of organic aromatic nitro compounds, for example nitro-benzaldehydes, nitro-benzoic acids and nitro-phenols and their salts such as sodium-p-nitrophenolate and sodium 2 : 4-dinitrophenolate, is lowered by intimately incorporating therewith organic acid amides such as acetamide, urea and urethane.
