[Class 64 (ii).] To insulate against heat and sound, the floor, footrests and instrument boards of a motor vehicle are constructed of built-up plates comprising a sheetmetal core a which is either plane or corrugated coated on one side by a layer of rubber b and on the other by a layer of heat-insulating material c such as asbestos.
