Hatching-appliances.-A hot-air incubator having a heater c and a hot air pipe d with outlets d<2>, d<3>, is provided with a diaphragm of fibreboard, asbestos sheet, or other material fixed between the hot air pipe d and the egg trays, the corners of the diaphragm being cut away to form openings 1 - - 4, for the passage of hot air. The diaphragm may be formed to allow a small passage or passages e near the usual door of the incubator.
