[Class 55 (ii)] In an air-moistener suitable for use with a radiator 2, and comprising a series of channelshaped layers 6 of absorbent material with their ends in a water trough 1, openings 11-15 in staggered formation are provided in the layers. The openings e, Fig. 6, may be nozzleshaped on both sides of the layers. In a modification, the moistener is arranged above a ventilating-fan ; and a second ventilator may be arranged above the absorbent material.
