[Class 135.] In a thermostatically controlled heating or cooling system for ship's cabins, storage chambers or buildings, a number of mercury thermometers 6 .. 10 are mounted in a perforated casing 5 in the space to be heated or cooled. Each thermometer is provided with a fixed contact wire 20, and with an adjustable contact 6a .. 10a projecting into the bore at the top. The latter contacts 35, Fig. 2, may be adjusted in the bore 36 by a rack 33 and pinion 34, to a predetermined range of temperatures. The contacts are connected to a multiple point switch C, by which any thermometer may be selected and placed in the circuit 17 of a relay D, which controls electromagnetically operated valves A in the circulating system of the heating or cooling fluid. The temperature in the space is thus regulated to the setting of the adjustable contact of the thermometer selected. Specification 343,310 is referred to.
