March 20, 1930, No. 8942. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (v).] A folding shelf structure for use as a hat and coat rack consists of centrally divided shelves f hinged to a pair of side members a<1>. The structure is held in its open position by a rail d, for coat &c. hangers, pivoted at one end to one side member, the free end engaging an eye h on the other side member. Clips v<2> and removable pans u<2> for umbrellas may be provided. Stiffening members c are hinged to the rear edges of the shelves and carrying hinged struts e<1>, the free ends of which detachably engage fasteners on one of the shelves.
