[Class 18.] A note case, wallet, &c., has a pocket formed by a flap secured along one edge and with an opening or pocket in each end, and in each opening is slidably engaged a closure strip. A flap 3 formed with a step 9 at both ends is sewn or otherwise secured along the outer edge 5 to the back panel 1 of a note case of usual construction, the inner edge 7 of the flap being longer than the outer edge. Sewn or otherwise secured along the edge 5 between the flap and the panel 1 and round the inner edge of the flap between the steps 9 is a backing, whereby pockets 11 are formed at the ends of the flap; and strips 12, of the shape shown, secured as by sewing under reinforcing strips 14 on the edges of the back panel are adapted to engage slidably in these pockets. The lugs 20 on the strips 12 prevent the latter sliding out of the pockets, and a step, not shown, is formed in the lower end of both strips. The backing to the flap 3 is reinforced along the exposed edges 10a by material similar to that used for the back panel 1. According to the Provisional Speci-, fication, the strips 12 are T-shaped and engage in slots in the flap 3.
