Abstract
345,317. Light and heat sensitive cells. GRUTZMACHER, M., 3, Hahnelstrasse, Friedenau, Berlin. Nov. 15, 1929, No. 34972. Convention date, Nov. 16, 1928. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (iii).] A light-sensitive cell comprises two different materials, e.g. lead sulphide and silver, in point contact. The potential generated at the point of contact is preferably fed to an amplifier valve. The working point of the cell is chosen by connecting a battery in series with the cell. The cell is also suitable for use with heat radiation. When used in the transmission of pictures, the illuminated picture is traversed over the cell, no slits or masks being necessary since the cell is sensitive at the point of contact only. Specification 18430/01, [Class 38, Electricity, Regulating &c.], is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) described the use of a source of alternating potential alternative to the battery connected in series with the cell. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
