[Classes 108 (ii) and 108 (iii).] Relates to a vehicle suspension means, of the type having fixed to the vehicle frame a casing e containing bearings which support a shaft b having arms c acted on by helical springs or other elastic means for opposing rotation of the shaft, the shaft having rigidly secured thereto a bent arm a carrying one of the wheels. According to the invention the arms c co-operate with a plurality of helical springs f<1>, f<2> enclosed in telescopic cylinders g, i having openings i‹ which permit but restrict the flow of damping fluid into and out of the cylinders. Springs j opposing the main springs f<1>, f<2> may be provided. Frictional fittings j<1>, j<2> mounted in the interior of the casing e may also be provided to damp rotation of the shaft.
