Abstract
343,561. Grinding. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN, Gothenburg, Sweden. Nov. 21, 1929, No. 35588. Convention date, March 9. [Class 60.] Feed devices.-Apparatus for feeding articles k, Fig. 1, such as nuts, rings, discs, &c. to machines, consists of a rotary tube a to which the articles are supplied by gravitation from a hopper b, whereby the articles are caused under the action of the rotary movement of the tube to assume a position coaxial therewith. The tube is driven by a pulley hand belt i, and may be provided with an agitating blade c working in the hopper. To effect the traversing movement of the articles, the tube may be slightly inclined or conical. In the modification shown in Fig. 2, the tube comprises two parts d, e at right angles and connected by a curved intermediate part g. The tube may be wholly or partly flexible, and the intermediate part stationary. The ends are rotated by belt-and-pulley gearing h, m, from a common drive shaft f. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the feeding device is applied to grinding machines. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
