Abstract
In a process for improving the physical properties wrought zinc alloys, the alloys are heated rapidly, e.g. in less than 20 seconds, to an elevated temperature and maintained at that temperature until the desired improvement has taken place. The temperatures used are from 200 to 400 DEG C. and the alloys are maintained at that temperature for 1-10 minutes. The alloys treated are those described in Specification 341,054.
