Abstract
342,572. Combined wash-tubs and sinks. SOUTHHOOK POTTERIES, Ltd. and BARBOUR, J. A., Bonnyton, Kilmarnock. March 11, 1930, No. 7853. [Class 26.] In a combined wash-tub and sink in which the bottom of the sink 7, Fig. 1, is above that of the wash-tub 8, a common outlet is provided with branch passages 11, 14 leading to the respective basins, the outlet and the passages being unitary with the combination and being preferably formed during the moulding thereof. The outlet 13 is provided with a flange 16 to which the waste pipe 19 is bolted, the flange being preferably formed by moulding and cutting, the latter operation taking place in the case of a fireclay or glazed earthenware structure while the material is in the undried state. A common overflow 10 preferably opening into the outlet 13 may be formed in the partition 9 to which the wringer fixture 23 is bolted, an aperture 25 being provided and the vertical flange 26 being cut away to facilitate access to the overflow. The outlet fittings 28 are bolted to lugs formed in the walls of the passages.
