Abstract

342,556. Squeegees; windscreen wipers. POEPPING, N., 4926, Reber Place, St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A. Feb. 24, 1930, No. 6099. [Classes 19 and 138 (i).] A n electrically heated squeegee for removing ice, frost, snow and the like from window panes and windscreens of motor cars is characterized by a frame 3, Fig. 1, having two arms 4, 5 spaced from each other, one arm 5 carrying a wiper 10, Fig. 2, and the other the heating coils 6. When the device is used in buildings, the source of current will be a light socket. On cars the source will be a storage battery or magneto. The device is shown as an oscillating windscreen wiper but it may be mounted to move in straight lines.
