Abstract

The windscreen wiper linkage has a main drive plate (12) with accentric drive links and cranks and with a reversing motor. In the self parking mode the wiping angle is increased so that the wipers are parked out of sight. The linkage is simple, with few components, and with a varying wiping angle, it eliminates streaks at the edges of the wiped area. The drive plate performs a two and fro movement.
