[Class 114.] The loom above and below the button is strengthened by the insertion of a layer C of harder wood than the loom itself. The two-part button comprises angle segments D with securing bolts passed through the limbs lying on the oar, the leather E being applied to the upstanding portion. In a modification, the button comprises a one-piece wooden ring slipped over the oar, leather being applied to an upstanding part of the button and also to the surface of the hard layer C. Specification 12633/03, [Class 114, Ships &c. Div. II], is referred to.
