Abstract

341,020. Wire - cloths for paper - making machines. YONEKURA, T., 209, Iriyamase, Takaoka, Fuji, Shidsuoka, Japan. Oct. 2, 1929, No. 29851. Convention date, Oct. 11, 1928. [Class 96.] Wire-cloth for paper-making machines has notches 3 in the warp 1 and weft 2 which register where the wires cross, the wire surface 5 opposite the notches being flattened to form an even wirecloth surface, thus minimizing wear &c., decreasing the tendency to mark the paper formed, and reducing distortion of the cloth under strain. Either the warp or the weft or both may be made of single wires or of a number of wires twisted together. The warp and weft wires may differ in diameter and they may be spaced differently.
