[Class 87 (i).] A portable apparatus for brushing, towing, and fettling earthenware, china, and the like comprises a wheeled wagon carrying coacting rotary brushes c, g surrounded by a dustreceiving hopper k communicating through a fabric filter n with an exhaust fan p driven by the motor u. The upper brush is spring-mounted at h<1> to yield when articles are placed between the brushes. Additional removable brushes, suitably driven, may be placed on either side of the main brushes for performing additional operations. An article-carrier is mounted in place of the lower main brush when towing or fettling operations have to be performed. The dust collected in the filter is re-used in manufacturing further articles.
