Filtering.-Tubular filters s are secured at their open ends to apertured movable floors b, b<1> which are constantly vibrated during the filtering operation by biassed wheels c or other rotating bodies driven by cords &c. r. The floors are secured to tubular curtains a, f; the lower floor rests on flexible rods g. Resilient stops e may increase the oscillation, or the stops may be rigid, and co-operate with resilient buffer surfac<s on the floors. Scrapers k and a worm conveyer' may remove the deposited dust.
