Abstract
337,564. Junkers, H. Oct. 29, 1928, [Convention date]. Clutches. - A gear-wheel clutch is provided with a circuit containing cooling devices through which a small amount of the clutch liquid continuously circulates. The circuit may comprise a cooling vessel 15, Fig. 2, mounted on the clutch and connected therewith by narrow passages 13, 14, a stationary cooler connected by running joints, or a cooler 24, Fig. 4, in the main operating circuit which is then provided with a bye-pass 23 or a throttling member 22 which cannot be entirely closed. In one form, the main curcuit has a cooler 33, Fig. 5, and liquid issuing from the clutch through an aperture 34 is collected and passed through a cooler 36 and pumps 37, 37<1> for return through pipes 38, 38<1> throttled at 40, 40<1>, pressure gauges 41<1> being provided.
