Abstract

Endless-track vehicles having two or more tracks on each side of the vehicle are steered by braking one or other of the front track units. In the construction shown the vehicle is carried on front tracks B<2> and rear tracks C<2>, the front tracks being pivoted on an axle D<1> which can rock about a central horizontal longitudinal pivot and also about a central vertical axis or turntable. Ackerman steering may be employed instead of a centrally-pivoted axle.
